Flexible bike racing for busy athletes

Multi-day stage racing using a GPS device, a Strava account, and your own determination.

Hammerfest - noun - A brutally fast ride or race, typically with friends.

Strava revolutionized virtual cycling competition by adding leader boards to the entire world. No longer did riders have to show up on the same start line at the same time to test their efforts against each other.

Hammerfest goes one step farther, bringing the tradition of grueling, multi-day cycling stage racing into the GPS-driven, digital era. A stage race is defined in a local area using strava segments. Competitors have 24-48 hours to complete each course. Whomever scores the most points by placing highest on all the stages wins the hammerfest.

How does it work?

Racing a Hammerfest is really easy...

  1. Buy a GPS Device (if you don't have one)
  2. Setup a Strava account.
  3. Sign up for a Hammerfest that uses your local (or virtual) roads and link your Strava account.
  4. You have 24-48 hours to ride the course between the days and times defined, and log it on Strava.
  5. After you ride, your times on the defined Strava segments are extracted.
  6. At the end of each stage, a stage winner is announced and points awarded.
  7. At the end of the race, the cyclist who has the least points by placing the highest on each day, wins!
